Iggy Pop

Pop byl zpěvákem kapely The Stooges z přelomu 60. a 70. let která měla velký vliv na podobu hard rocku a počátky punku (mezi fanoušky Stooges patřili i Ramones). The Stooges se neblaze proslavili svými koncerty na kterých Pop skákal z podia (tímto byl objeven tzv. „stage diving“), s hrudí pomazanou syrovým masem a někdy také burákovým máslem nebo pořezaný rozbitými lahvemi. Mnoho pozdějších zpěváků tyto Popovy kousky imitovalo.

The Stooges

 

Iggy Pop was the lead singer of The Stooges, a late 1960s/early 1970s rock band who were influential in the development of the nascent hard rock and punk rock genres. The Stooges became infamous for their live performances, during which it was not uncommon for Pop (who traditionally performs bare-chested) to self mutilate, verbally abuse the audience, expose himself and leap off the stage (the first or among the first to stage dive).
